Hello, we’re planning to cycle from Ijmuiden to Nordkapp on our tandem, hopefully this year. We are after some advice on times of year to do this as we can’t set off until the middle of June. Just wanted to let everyone know that for the National Gravel Route 3, you cannot currently cycle Hakavikveien. It has fallen into Eikeren. https://ovre-eiker.kommune.no/nyheter/hakavikveien-ny-midlertidig-vei-har-apnet-til-eidsfoss.5731.aspx
I cycled there just a few weeks ago. The road is closed.

Hakavikveien stengt fra 5. november 2025 på grunn av ras - Øvre Eiker kommune
Det har gått et nytt ras i Hakavikveien. Veien er derfor igjen stengt etter at fylkeskommunen åpnet den kl 15 lørdag.

Message from Gregory: I just wanted to reply to a question from Raphael Stocker: Train disruption Oslo-Trondheim. I had the similar problem last year in September. My solution was to take the train between Oslo and Bergen, and Havila (or Hurtigruten) between Bergen and Trondheim.
If he has time enough, he could do the same from Bergen to Molde…
