Hi! I have been 15 days by car in fiords part of Norway. The 21 of july i will start my 3 weeks journey with bike. I start from bodo and end in Tromso, but im sure i will make a round, but k dont know if its more beautiful go to northkapp or is better to go close to Finland. Any suggestions?
Also the weather scares me a bit and i questions…

First of all: Don’t overthink it. As you mentioned, the weather is unpredictable, and it can change very often within 3 weeks. Right now, they predict snow at 700 m in the north for the weekend 🙃

Good morning. I forgot to ask a question: my flight home departs from Tromsø. How do you handle the box? Do you ask a shop to reserve one for you, and then on the day of your flight you go, pack it, and take a taxi to the airport? Any recommendations or experiences on this? Thank you very much.

Tromsø can be difficult to get a bike box. Arrive a few days before you fly. Go to the airport and check to see if they have a storage of old boxes left by people arriving. Leave your bike locked at a campsite or accommodation. Don’t leave it at the trailhead as bikes have been stolen on Lofoten. Wildcamping on Lofoten is not recommended, and locals are very annoyed by people who do it. Thank you so much! I’ve modified my route to spend almost two weeks in Lofoten, taking it easy and enjoying the scenery, and avoiding camping in the most crowded or populated areas. Even so, since I also want to do some hiking, I’ll probably end up using quite a few campsites.

Depending on the season and area, you’ll see no insects at all or will be covered in swarms as soon as you stop.
