This wonderful (online) book of information is a valuable resource for anyone planning to travel through Norway by bike. It’s the result of years of trial and error, learning the hard way through countless mistakes and endless hours spent digging through scattered websites. Those who take the time to study and use it will save money, avoid major…

Roundtrip Stockholm Oslo with a loop
I think this is a very valid point. I’ve been staring at that weight for a while.
Locking carbiner could be good. I have one from climbing. Maybe combine it with like a climbing rope. Could use it to hold stuff also.
I do think i would want something where i could attach it to something. Although the bike is going to weigh like 20kg with most…

Camera storage on a bikepacking trip
I am resigned to carrying my 3 lb. Nikon P950 in a waterproof MountainSmith camera bag inside by CamelBak hydration backpack (and that’s about all in that bag).
Last year my Nikon P950 w/85x zoom was an incredible tool for capturing the scenery and the experience of the cruise up & down the Norwegian coast. I can’t imagine doing a bike tour…

where to leave big travel bag in Oslo for duration of bike trip?
I’m flying into Oslo with my bike in a bike travel bag instead of a box and I’ll have my bags packed in a suitcase. Does anyone have experience with leaving the suitcase and bike bag in Oslo for the duration of your trip(s)? I’m thinking of contacting all bike shops but before I send out a gazillian emails, I thought I’d ask here. Thanks everyone!
