Depending on the season and area, you’ll see no insects at all or will be covered in swarms as soon as you stop. This photo was taken just a few days ago in late April, by people walking up Trollstigen. Hard to believe that two years ago, when I visited in early May, the switchbacks were still completely buried in snow.
