Lake forest up and a train that made me jump. Not a bad day 1 in Norway 😉
All the travelling, our week in Denmark would Norway live up to our expectations?
The first 20km did not, busy roads, rain and extra time to find things in the supermarket. This was to be expected in a new country, so Norway was forgiven.
We turned off the main road, after a quick stop at the bank and chemist’s for some after insect bite, stop the itching cream.
It was not long before we were seeing the true Norway. Waterfalls of all sizes, lakes with their islands and quaint houses. But no moose today.
Hot drinks were made in a bus shelter and we did find a spot for lunch by a lake but it was a bit chilly to stay for long.
Today was about finding our climbing legs ready for the bigger hills later in the adventure we did okay but are a little tired tonight.
We are looking forward to exploring off the cycling route, hopefully finding some new treasures to share as we cycle the tracks and minor roads.
Only half of tomorrow’s route is planned, after our food replen we will look together and see if we fancy gravel and wild camping or road and campsite.https://www.komoot.com/tour/2274897983?ref=aso
