Hi! I’ll be leaving shortly on my bikepacking trip through Norway, with the goal of making it to Nordkapp. My original plan was to leave from Oslo next week and head to Trondheim via Lillehammer but now I’m having second thoughts about missing out on the stretch along the coast between Bergen and Trondheim and am considering starting in…

Hey! I am arriving in Bodø on 20th of Mai, hoping to get to North Cape around 6-7th June. I booked a flight from Lakselv back to Oslo on 9th June

You can book a call if you want detailed advice about different routes (pros and cons) through Southern Norway. Bike are allowed on buses in Northern Norway as long as there is space. https://calendly.com/cyclenorway

The Mountain roads are opening at a record pace this year. I see Geiranger – Dalsnibba is almost clear! Sometimes this road doesn’t open until late May /early June! I expect it will open in the next few weeks.
I have also heard Lysevegen from Lysebotn over Suleskardveien is way ahead of schedule, and this usually opens 21st of May.

Glad to hear that Dalsnibba is almost free but how do i get there when Trollstigen is still closed? Is there any way to cycle up to this Point? 🙂 I want to cycle the Fjord Norway Tour at the end of May till late June…

Hi! I’d like to start the EV1 from Trondheim to Narvik in the first days of May. However, the weather seems extremely cold or is this normal this time of the year? Is there a chance it might get better than the apps are saying? Thank you….🙂

Expect chilly nights and come prepared with proper gear, especially if you’re camping. That said, May weather can shift quickly—warm, sunny days can show up without warning. Checking the weather forecast more than a few days out is mostly a waste of time in Norway. Anything beyond 3–4 days is guesswork. I cycled your route in May two years ago…

Good morning! I’m starting to plan in detail the 21-day route in July via Eurovelo 1 from Trondheim to Tromso. It will be my first long route, and therefore, there will be many new things. I’ve read the information on the website in detail. My budget is quite low. The logistics of sleeping leave me with doubts. The idea is to camp wild, but I…

Hi Marta, sounds like a great journey this summer! I would suggest you PM this girl. She did the same as you on her own a few years ago. I’m sure she will be very helpful answering questions that relate to travelling on your own. What I can say is, in general travelling in Norway is extremely safe for females (probably the safest place in…
