We are looking to do a two-week trip in the fjords, and return from Andalsnes with our bikes to Oslo in early August. It looks as though, from Andalsnes to Dombas, there are only rail replacement busses until August 17, and these do not accept bikes. Hello, does anyone know which bike shop would be best to contact for x2 large cardboard bike boxes in Bergen for Saturday 16th August? Or, alternatively where we can store x2 boxes from Thursday 31st July until 16th August?
Also, how important is it to book campsites during this time?

The area along the Russian border is full of monuments and memorials reminding on difficult times. E.g. in 1940, tens of thousands of people built a 1200 km long defense wall against a possible Soviet invasion, and many of the massive rocks are still in place.

Hej, has anyone recently cycled the Eurovelo 1 around the Naustdal tunnel? I heard it has been closed last year and the tunnel seems not great to ride. Thanks a lot, Marco

As far as I’m aware, the long side road around the main tunnel is still fine to cycle even though it’s been closed to cars. There is an old tunnel at the very top, which has no lights and is not in the greatest condition, but I have heard no reports that you can’t cycle through. Please take some photos and report back when you are there.
