A route question for the community. I’m cycling from Finse to Vinstra. Which route should I choose if I want to prioritize gravel and scenery?
ridewithgps.com/routes/51885738
ridewithgps.com/routes/51885732I’m leaning towards the shorter of the two as I read that the southern part of Mjølkevegen is somewhat meh due to all the cabins dotting…

Hi there,
plan to cycle rallarvegn and mjolkevegn with family from next week. Idea is to start with Haugastol – Voss, go back by train and head to mjolkevegn from Geilo. However, returning to Geilo from Vinstra seems to be a very long trip by train/bus. Any recommendations for a round trip starting in Geilo?

hi cycle Norway community!
started the trip to North Cap after studying the materials on this website.
one thing I’m confused about is to find accommodation on the way. Found one camping nearby Manger after leaving Bergen but cant find anything in Eivindvik or on the way. Checking NorCamp app but either they are not on Eurovelo1 way or there…

hi folks !
great stuffs on cyclenorway ! thanks Matthew and the community for this 🙂
I’m wondering if someone has experience to reach out to Hamnsund.
I see 2 options: follow Eurovelo 1 via Stette
or take a ferry Alesund.
if anyone has pros and cons thats would great
cheers

Driving Bergen-Oslo on wednesday 09/07. I have a few days to kill. Any tips on gravel rides, day trips that can be combined with camping?? Either bikepacking and back to the car next day, or camping by the car after a nice ride. Hoping for some nice tips, I want to avoid Rallarvegen

Planning to cycle the old postal road from Alta to Kautokeino in the next few days. There’s a bus back from Kautokeino, but we don’t find any info if this also takes bikes back. Anyone have any info on this?
-
The bus is operated by Snelandia. According to their website, “Passengers may take bicycles on the bus subject to available space.” (https://snelandia.no/tourist-in-finnmark/bagasje-pa-reisen/?sprak=3) A bicycle ticket costs 70 NOK.
Be prepared for difficult conditions on the old post road. Two weeks ago, especially the middle part was *very*…

I am currently researching how to get to Berlin from Nord Kapp, after I finish my ride. It seems the train option is expensive and is also long, besides I had to get to Norvik it seems. Any suggestions please?

Full information on how to get to and away from Nordkapp can be found on the detailed full story page of Tromsø – Nordkapp: https://cyclenorway.com/en/routes/atlantic-coast/stage-4/tromso-nordkapp/

Thanks Matthew. What are my chances of getting a bike box in Honninsvag? Alta is probably a better option? I see an Intersport shop in Honningsvag. Perhaps they might have some box or bags to transport?

Has anyone travelled the back roads from Tromso down to Harstad (southside of Kvaloya – Finnsness – Sorreisa – Sjovegan – Andorja – Rolla – Sorrollnes – Harstad) and then continuing south via E10 and 815??
1. How is the route (the road quality and signage)
2. Are there sufficient food/water stops to support wild camping without cooking
3. How is…

@mbelton74 , as I explained in your first message, no one’s going to see it unless you share it in a forum or group. Right now, you’re basically talking to yourself.
