Just for your information: we’re coming from Germany and will be flying to Trondheim/Stjørdal, with our return flight from Bergen. We were a bit unsure about the starting section of the route, but we’ll probably go via Selbuvegen now and most likely take National Cycle Route 1, then rejoin the original route… Read more

One factor would be the length of your rides. For day trips, Oslo might be a good option. A multi-day trip would offer more varied landscapes.
