“Bright Midnight” or “Mother North”
Hi There!
I am Brazilian and I am 52 years old.
I don’t yet feel prepared enough to participate in the self-sufficient “Bright Midnight” or “Mother North” races.
Therefore, I plan to do a MTB self-sufficient bikepacking trip through Norway in June (from June 13th to June 28th, 2026), using the route of one of these two races as a base, to see how…

Dear people,
We like to bike the mjolkenvegen in summer. Is the route marked from Gol
-
It is partially signposted and part of National Cycle 5. But using a gpx map and following that is a better way to do it: https://cyclenorway.com/en/routes/mjolkevegen_route/

Hi,
I am looking for the best route to do which meets these criteria:
– Maximised scenery
– Good camping spots
– Around 1000km maybe like 800-1200
– And in summer so not too busy roads for most the way
If anyone has some suggestions that would be great as all the routes look amazing but its hard to pick!

Hirtshals → Bergen
The main ferry operator on this long north-Atlantic crossing is Fjord Line:
-
It runs daily or near-daily sailings from Hirtshals (Denmark) to Bergen (Norway) in the summer.
-
Crossing time: ~16–18 hours depending on schedule/season.
-
You can take your camper van and book a cabin or deck seat.

You might find cheaper deals booking…

Hello everyone,
We are currently planning our three-week trip to Norway in August 2026.
Our idea is to travel to Norway in a camper van and then do a few two- to four-day gravel / road tours around Bergen to Kristiansand. We will leave our camper van behind each time and return to it after the tour.
I have two questions:
What do you recommend…
