Good morning! I’m starting to plan in detail the 21-day route in July via Eurovelo 1 from Trondheim to Tromso. It will be my first long route, and therefore, there will be many new things. I’ve read the information on the website in detail. My budget is quite low. The logistics of sleeping leave me with doubts. The idea is to camp wild, but I also need it to be safe (being a single girl and having internal fears). I suppose I’ll end up managing the daily kilometers based on the places I can sleep and visit. Any recommendations for a first-timer? I’m sure I’ll have new questions, so see you here and there! Thank you very much!

Hi Marta, sounds like a great journey this summer! I would suggest you PM this girl. She did the same as you on her own a few years ago. I’m sure she will be very helpful answering questions that relate to travelling on your own. What I can say is, in general travelling in Norway is extremely safe for females (probably the safest place in the world with Iceland). Hey Marta, I am doing Bodo – Nordkap mid May to mid June. You can follow my journey on IG – allridegirl, and if you have some questions just send me a dm. i also want to wild camp as much as possible since my budget is also low. I will try to only sleep in a camp or hotel if i will need to charge my electronics.. I already checked some locations from other bike travellers on instagram, but also used to plan via google maps – satellite view or on street maps you can even see better how the area looks like.
