in reply to: Best Tent?
I recommend the very common MSR Hubba. It’s lightweight (1400 g), ventilation is very good (big mesh area on inner tent), easy to set up and not that bulky. They also offer a “bikepacking version” with shorter poles (I didn’t need that). Some prefer the Hubba Hubba (2 person variant) for solo trips although its apsis is quite roomy.

Actually, a very wet trail is what I’m a little afraid of. I also asked Finnish board guard authority, and they told me that there is a trail along the border zone but conditions in June are yet not easy to assess. I also contacted a guy who wrote in a YT comment that he went there from Finnland by mountain bike ???? Certainly, it would be an adventure (and I like adventures ????)
Thanks, Thorsten! That’s good to know. I have read somewhere that it usually gets less wet in Mid June, after spring floods. But who knows what to expect for this summer? At least I expect to meet many mosquitoes ????
And thanks for the advice to turn of roaming on my phone ????
