The road between Hellandsbygd and Røldal—part of the Scenic Route Ryfylke—reopened for the season this week, allowing cyclists to hit this epic mountain road between Sauda and Røldal once again! It’s part of the Fjord Norway route

Cycled to the summit from Fortun today- it’s open and stunning but wrap up warm . Still a couple of patches of ice to be careful of.

The Mountain roads are opening at a record pace this year. I see Geiranger – Dalsnibba is almost clear! Sometimes this road doesn’t open until late May /early June! I expect it will open in the next few weeks.
I have also heard Lysevegen from Lysebotn over Suleskardveien is way ahead of schedule, and this usually opens 21st of May.

Glad to hear that Dalsnibba is almost free but how do i get there when Trollstigen is still closed? Is there any way to cycle up to this Point? 🙂 I want to cycle the Fjord Norway Tour at the end of May till late June…

Snow report in Nordmarka 12.04.25. Gravel roads below 300m are mainly clear. However, once you get above that and especially above 400m the roads are covered in ice. I met a guy today who walked over an hour on ice with his bike near ring 4.
