  • Norway Day 14

Normally, in our tent, we try to keep it tidy, but this morning, there is no way bits everywhere, as you can see in the photo. Soon after, we were all tidy, the sun was out, and we were off to find a pizza.

First, we had to navigate 100s of walkers taking part in an event, every age, a few different modes of transport, and lots… Read more

  • Norway Day 13

Surprisingly, good night sleep in our wild camp, very cosy as the lumps and bumps pushed us together. The view in the morning was stunning.

Another long day on the bike, on Norway’s equivalent of rolling roads. Norwegian road engineers are craftsmen, fighting with the terrain to make every inch of road. Our route today included…

  • Norway Day 12

The alarm was set for 7.30 as we wanted to ride some extra km. We were wild camping, so the end point was only an estimation. Most of the day, we would be following the scenic route 13 on the edge of the Fjords.

Today was a first. We were going to cycle past a bakery for the first time, so much choice, but we settled for a…

    • The British Army was in Voss in the 1980s? That sounds like a nice place to get stationed! What did you do there and for how long?

  • Norway Day 11

Its was not a planned rest day but sometimes your body says rest, get dry and sort your equipment. The rest bit is true as we did not wake until 10am today.

How do you record your adventure? Jenni writes a travel diary with mini pictures of the day created from her grandmother’s tiny water colour pattlett.

    I write a more… Read more

    • Norway Day 10

Last night, we were in the transit camp for visitors to the Preikestolen, and the receptionist was always busy patiently answering the same questions.

We took advantage of the cosy reception with a huge muffin with hot chocolate on a stick and a cappuccino, but at 8 pm, we were asked to leave. It was a warmer night, so when… Read more

    • Norway Day 9

Proberly the warmest toilet in the world?

Surprisingly the tent was dry this morning, we still had a battle to take it down as the wind was still refusing to subside.

The decent was quick a resupply, then another few km and our first ferry crossing. It was a very smooth operation for the 10 minute crossing which cost 10… Read more

    • Norway Day 8

A day of 2 halves the first part we retraced our wheel tracks including a tunnel, for 7km passing again giant bolders with a golden sandy beach. I could not see a way down but the locals will have a path.

After the last bolder it was down hill for 12km this time with the wind behind us.Then it came into view Lysefjord at the… Read more

    • Norway Day 6 and 7 rest day.

Free cabin and peas, but I still stole the toaster.

They day before we had been chatting about breakfast, porridge is nice, but every day, not so. We both fancied toast, followed by yoghurt with fruit and an oat biscuit. Chance would have in the campsite kitchen there was a toaster, so I sneaked out early and…

        • ABSOLUTELY 🙂 – If you use Google Drive or something like that to upload the photos and document, that would be best. But we can find other solutions if required. Thanks for your engagement, and safe travels with your continued journey.

          • Can share on Google drive what is your email for that? Will put together over next couple of rest days.
