Is there more than one Grimstad? I only know of the one near Kristiansand. I got excited about the note that said “Grimstad has built dedicated gravel loops for e-bikes and families.” but the link takes you to Tour de Dovre in Dombås. I do see a GrimsDALEN nearby there on the map, though. Perhaps Grimstad is a typo? Or perhaps I still…

I’m also VERY curious about “the revival of gravel access through Hallingdal” …I was trying to patch something together on RWGPS but figured there’s definitely some insider info going on here that I can’t find via my limited resources hah. I would love to do a loop from Drammen or Kongsberg on the NSR #4, then hang the hard left at Nesbyen…

Norway Day 6 and 7 rest day.

Hello to all.
I am flying into Alta and then getting the bus to Honningsvag the follwoing day, which campsites would those who have travelled to Alta recommend? Also any advice on whether the bus would take my bike already packed and not in its box? Thanks.

The NorCamp app might be helpful locating campgrounds
I have only looked up VY busses that will reserve spaces for bikes. There are not many and none on the more northern routes, AFAIK.
But I have been told that other than the designated VY routes it’s up to the driver and available space to decide about taking a bike on board.
