That’s a big question with multiple answers. If you find the whole journey a bit overwhelming (which is certainly normal) and need real help. Jump on a call with me and we can go through each section and possible accommodation options. Bringing a tent helps in certain remote areas but you can certainly find accommodation every 50-75km. I’ve done Norge på langs in 2018/19, by tandem from Lindesnes fyr to Slettnes fyr, over two holidays. Happy to share our route with stops, with the provisor that the hotels and cabins on campsites may well have changed (or closed) by now.

About to finish my 3 week Holiday. I found that the routes which are provided on this websites have made a great impact on my journey. I was very surprised how many roads were free of heavy traffic.
Thanks to the Effort of the CycleNorway-Team for this, also having Matthew looking over my route was certainly a good Idea.

VY 146 isn’t one of the lines that officially allows bike bookings, you won’t be able to reserve a spot for it. Bringing it unannounced is at the driver’s discretion, and on long routes that usually means “no” if space is tight. Hello All!
I will be flying into Oslo on September 4th and renting a gravel bike. I have a cabin rented in Nordberg, just east of Grotli. The Vy146 bus travels there, but I am unable to purchase a ticket for the bike. Does anyone know how likely it is that the driver will allow my to bring the bike? If not, what alternatives do I have to get…
