Crossing the Sognefjord from Flam
Hi everyone, we are two cycle tourists from the UK/ France and we are about to join the Rallarvegan tomorrow. Looking ahead when we reach Flåm, does anyone know how we can cross the Sognefjord to the northern side without taking the cruise boats which goes to Gudvangen and then to Kaupanger? Or can we cycle to somewhere else along the fjord… Read more

I’ve taken a quick look at your route and noticed there’s quite a bit of guesswork in it. Komoot can be tricky—it often sends cyclists onto roads that either aren’t suitable or aren’t allowed for cycling. I’d suggest reviewing the route carefully, especially to see if you really…

The link to komoot works. But like Matthew says you will need to refine in places. We found cycle.travel was better for planning, not so many surprises. Here is our Norway route it maybe of use to you.
