Hej, has anyone recently cycled the Eurovelo 1 around the Naustdal tunnel? I heard it has been closed last year and the tunnel seems not great to ride. Thanks a lot, Marco

As far as I’m aware, the long side road around the main tunnel is still fine to cycle even though it’s been closed to cars. There is an old tunnel at the very top, which has no lights and is not in the greatest condition, but I have heard no reports that you can’t cycle through. Please take some photos and report back when you are there.

The way around Naustdal tunnel is great. Nice asphalt all the way up and down. It is closed for cars, but still we had 3 on the way up. The view is fantastic. The tunnel on top is narrow and pitch dark, but only 300m long. In the tunnel the surface is pretty bad but well rideable. So overall very a very good experience. 😎
