• @Matthew Norway Hey Mathew,

thanks a lot for your page and the stunning videos.

My wife and I visited Norway many times, but mostly with car and tent. Then, a while ago, we switched our holiday plans to the alps, which we crossed more than 15 times with the MTB. But seeing your videos brings back some good old memories…

So, we are in good shape and technically well equipped. If only there was not that typical norwegian wheather… It is perhaps the main reason, why we did not return to norway until now. Our first backpacking trip went from Trondheim to Bronnoysund (Kystriksveien) and we had 10 days of hard rain an cold temperature. That made somei mpression…

But maybe we will give it a try this year… Thanks for the inspiration.

      Ride on

      Christian

      • My advice to anyone planning on cycling in Norway – always have a backup plan. If you see that the weather is really bad from Trondheim to Brønnøysund for the next week. Look at alternatives if possible. Maybe the south coast or the Oslo Region. I understand this is not always logically possible. Nevertheless, there are routes all over the country on the website. And every area has its charm. Checking the weather forecast daily using the YR app and adapting your plans to the conditions that are thrown at you is the way I travel by bike.

        • Well, our rainy trip was 30 years ago. No mobile phone, no internet (not because of bad connection but because there was no such thing as internet).

The planning is much easier today, but the rain is still as wet as it was back then 😀
