• Norway Day 13

Surprisingly, good night sleep in our wild camp, very cosy as the lumps and bumps pushed us together. The view in the morning was stunning.

Another long day on the bike, on Norway’s equivalent of rolling roads. Norwegian road engineers are craftsmen, fighting with the terrain to make every inch of road. Our route today included 15 tunnels and 2 bridges. Our only gripe they could lessen the gradient.

Lunch after 36km was taken at an old Quay in the village of Vika with it many small islands, each with various size cabins.

The rolling hills after lunch continued, giving Jenni a bit of knee pain and me an aching back. So when we arrived at the campsite in the rain, left sanding outside when the owner could have told us there was a warm room to sit in was a little annoying.

Throughout the day, there were many stunning vistas, with more snow in the distance distracting us as we rolled along.

Tomorrow, we will be cycling a small coast road, hopefully seeing some seals or dolphins.
