Hello guys.
Soon am starting my journey up north – from Flensburg in Germany across Denmark to catch the ferry in Hirtshals and then Bergen via EV1 to North Cape, when things workout well. 🙂 Unfortunately I am very very! bad in planning so the only thing I know so far is that I will start in Bergen (not even sure what day exactly) and that I have to be in Alta to catch flight on 8. July. Well. I know it’s a quite tight with time for that long journey when you consider weather mostly but I hope i can manage it anyhow.
My actual question is: what do you think how much time I should plan to arrive in Alta to get my bike ready for the flight? I am not sure how easy/difficult it is to find some card box or pieces for transport. Do you think it will work fast like in a day or should I plan two?

Plan to arrive in Alta at least two full days before your flight.
That gives you enough time to:
Find packing materials or a box.
Prep and pack your bike without stress.
Handle any surprises.
If all goes smoothly, you’ll have a free day to relax or explore before flying. Better that than trying to fix things under time pressure.1
