New bike day 🚀 Had my road bike stolen last week, just before season opening. Sucks harder than hard, but the replacement is now secured. A shiny new Fara F/Road in offwhite, and I’ll be watching this one closely.
What’s the best way to secure your bike these days? I’m curious to the following topics:
– Surveillance cams in the storage (with siren?). Would love to not have four bikes inside my apartment.
– Insurance options like BikeFinder, or other Norwegian alternatives. Someone mentioned Gjensidige and their dedicated bike insurance?
– Airtags. I know they alert iPhone owners that another Airtag is following them, but better than nothing I guess.

Four bikes! – a luxury problem to have. As you’re the boss and only 5 mins away – I’d say keep two at work and have them hanging from the wall. They will look good on display and show clients you’re a fit and active person who takes his work seriously (Everyone knows being a cyclist is an expensive hobby which requires working hard to maintain the lifestyle)!

2 ways to resolve a theft if it is being tracked by an AirTag:
1) track it down yourself and hope that the thief is nowhere to be found
2) enlist police to recover your property after you advise them of the location
