Gaularfjellet has opened more than a month earlier than usual this year. In 2024, it didn’t open until mid-May, but this year the barriers came down on April 11th. With this early opening, we can likely expect other mountain roads in Fjord Norway to follow suit! @michel yes, I rode Matthew’s route up Peergyntsetervegen last September through fresh snow and frozen puddles. That was after three weeks of rain and headwinds and sleet riding along the coast. And I’m coming back for more! 🥶
