If you’re from Europe (230V) and don’t need grounding, a Type F plug will serve you fine throughout Norway (and most of Europe for that matter).

Otherwise you likely will need an adapter/converter.

That’s good to hear. I assumed that you did it once from the Fjord-route, but twice is even better.

To be honest, I’m hoping for cold weather, and ideally also snow. To be prepared for everything, I bring two sleeping bags with me, warm clothes and a down jacket. I would do this anyway, but if they get to use, even better.

Lastly, use the POI’s on the map to see important issues regarding tunnels on that road.

I’m prepared to remove the panniers and carry the bicycle over some rocks 😉

You can clearly see in these photos (taken in summer 2022) that you can get through the tunnel. They said the road inside the tunnel had a lot of potholes, so maybe that’s why it’s closed?

The report from July 2024 talks about a rockfall. Now it could be that the problem already existed before 2022 and potholes remained when the rocks were removed. Or it could be a completely new problem. When I drive through it, I’ll report back (here and on the tunnel map).

The public road administration has a responsibility to maintain and keep open the Eurovelo 1.

It’s nice when the Eurovelo route is maintained in Norway, because in other countries that’s not always the case. ????
