After 14 days, 10 bike days and 4 rest days, starting in Lofoten, I finally made it to the North Cape 🤗
Thank you community and Matthew for all the tips and tricks, I also found some other cool shelters on the way, so if someone is heading up north and need some advice, hit me up ✌️

We will get to Tromso tomorrow, going North. Where are the shelters? Are there any between Alta and Olderfjord?
Thank you. Jude

@Judehill54 nope unfortunatelly no shelters there. There is still a looot of snow up there. You have nothing there except one public toilet, couple of km before Skaidi. Its warm so you can warm up there a bit. In Skaidi there is a restaurant and petrol station that are opened on sunday too! But its about 60 km of nothing so get ready for that.
On the top of the plateu there are some private huts, so if some emergency you can for sure hide somewhere under the stairs or so, but nothing more. I was lucky with sunny day, but only 3°C with head wind so it took me forever to get through….behind Tromsø there are these shelter Matthew marked in the description of the route but they have hole in the roof for the fire place, so we hid in the public toilet just next to it – not im the toilet haha but there is kind of a waiting room for the bus stop ( on that day I met a german bikepacker so we cycled together that day). It has a floor heating and a electricity for charging devices.
Second day we stayed in a fishing hut next to Alteidet. Its open and there is a link where you can send some money for using it if you want.
If you pass the camping in Alteidet and turn left, after about 1,8 km you arrive at the hut. It has a fire place

“behind Tromsø there are these shelters” – which shelters are these?

@Matthew Norway They are right before you enter the old road around a tunnel: https://maps.app.goo.gl/asbC47tQHnjsrCMd9
I would instead recommend pitching your tent somewhere along that old road

@michel well there is like one meter of snow 🤣 and it was a heavy rain that night, so thats why we also couldn’ t stay in the shelter

@allridegirl Okay, wow 😬 On June 9 last year, it looked a bit different 😁
