FYI: Slettefjellrunden – Bridge Closed 2025
Statens Vegvesen has posted that the bridge on Skøltevegen just west of 51/Bygdinvegen in and out of Bietostølen is closed. It looks like there should be a way around on the roads to the north. I see a bridge on the aerial view on the SV website (which is WAY better than google maps satellite view!) at least so we’re going to take the optimistic route and I’ll report back in a few weeks.

If you want to avoid riding the main road 51 (200 m uphill Skammestein – Beitostølen) and want to add some (good) gravel, you could try this scenic route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50583570
