Capital to Mountain to Mjolkevegen
Hi Community,
we will start a 2 week bikepacking tour on 20th of July from Oslo and so far I planned to combine the Capital to mountain gravel route (which looks amazing) with Mjolkevegen starting the Capital to mountain loop over the Nordmarka area and then turn off onto Mjolkevegen at Langestolen. Are there any recommendations regarding this? Would it be nicer to start the Capital mountain loop the other way round? Better to extend the route further of Lillehammer towards Oslo or with e.g. the Bygdin loop. Thanks so much for further input.

No it looks great. Always nice to cycle out of the city and feel that achievement as you reach the remote areas. Lillehammer is the perfect place to finish with easy train access running every hour to Oslo.

Correction, I see from Vinstra you’re doing the gudbrandsdalen route 7 to Lillehammer. Better to take the mountain road Peer Gynt vegan that runs on the west side before Vinstra.
