I’ve been experimenting with handlebar camera mounts go GoPro and Insta360. I’ve bought more lousy mounts than good ones so far. Here is one that I like a lot and one that i sorta like.

I like the handlebar mount because it is a fairly steady (image stabilization software is amazing) shot that maintains a direction independent of where my eyes are looking (GoPro) or records everything around me all the time (Insta360).

This rubber mount has been great. The aluminum bracket is noisy and not quite as steady (though stabilization solves that).

One problem I have is that I use a Surly Moloko handlebar and the crosspieces that I use as mount points have a smaller diameter than most mounts are designed for. So that’s a good chance to reuse old innertubes as shims.

That looks the same as the pic on the left (but not DJI).

It IS good but slips a bit on my handlebar unless I shim it up.

      I haven’t tried it yet w/the insta360. It’s a challenge because it’s more top-heavy than a GoPro.

I have also tested different types, but the original one from GoPro has been the best so far…. ☺️
