Best bang for buck trip – maxing out on scenery, minimising dull / trucker roads
Hi everyone, I’m stuggling to plan a weekend trip – I fly the bike and I into Bergen at 7pm Friday and leave about the same time on Sunday. So far I seem to have the 2 choices of the Eksingedalen Loop or the Bergen – Voss (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42505750) – which one offers the most bang for buck when it comes to scenery? 🙂 Thanks for the experienced insights!!

Eksingedalen Loop – no traffic, beautiful valley. Bergen to Voss is on traffic roads

Consider taking train to Voss and starting there. Also consider riding around Hardangerfjord and using high-speed ferry back to Bergen from Rosendal. Enjoy!

Thanks Gerry, I did consider this also. I just completed the Eksingedalen loop in a weekend. Quite the most stunning and varied route. I started in Evanger and ended up in Voss, it was quite a bit of work to do with a fully loaded gravel bike, with the limited riding time I had all day Saturday, half of Sunday. So next time I do something similar, I will ditch the tent and gear OR give myself another day. @Matthew Norway keep the overnight trips coming as I reckon theres a lot of people in my position – long weekenders are an easier gig for me, both work and family – wise. This trip was a 20 year ambition coming true!!
