• Norway Day 15

Ferry trip number 3 later, first we had to pack the tent, eat breakfast, and get bikes ready. By the time we left, it was 10.45. Where does the time go?

More roads around the Fjords today. Quiet roads with grass growing out of the cracks. What a road the 5014 is. Rolling gently as it hugged the sea, plenty of cottage industry from wood cutters to roof tile fabrication micro farms drying their grass on a long racks that looked like dougal from the Magic Roundabout.

We climbed through thick forests and saw our first deer from a distance, maybe a moose soon.

Did not want this road to end but the last downhill to us to the port just in time to catch the ferry to Utaker. Where we ate lunch in the warm ferry waiting room, which most ports have.

We could see the climb out of the port, not a problem. Our legs are getting stronger all the time. Again, we enjoyed the mixed terrain.

Towards the end, we spotted a building built out of stone, more French than Norwegian. On closer inspection and a peek through the window, it was an old hydro electricity plant, and beside it stood the next 2 generations. The newest producing 5 KW of power. One mystery was where did the water come from?

Four nights in a row, we have now had the weather to sleep in our tents if a little chilly. Tomorrow, we continue along the coast.
