Hi everyone! We’re Maarten and Willemijn, a Dutch couple currently cycling to the North Cape on our tandem bicycle, Sleipnir — named after the mythical eight-legged horse. We started our journey in the south of the Netherlands and are heading north through Germany and Denmark, planning to take the ferry to Bergen at the end of May and then take the ev1 to NordCapp. It’s our first time travelling longer than four weeks, and we’re loving the simplicity of life on the road, the quiet beauty of the north, and the people we meet along the way. We mostly camp and are always up for a good story or shared experience. If you see a tandem with two smiling Dutch cyclists, there’s a good chance it’s us — don’t hesitate to wave or say hi!

Long shot but were you in Kathmandu with VSO. That would be a “small world” coincidence especially if we see you!
