Hi all, we are a mixed-nationality couple who met because of Zwift, of all things. We currently live in Larvik. Party-Pace rides are our thing. After injury, surgery, loooong recovery, we are finally trying to start planning some adventures, albeit with me (Cori) on an eBike for now. So we’re having to get creative with 1-day rides or trying to find eBike charging-friendly routes. We have been watching Matthew’s YouTube channel since the beginning and are thrilled to see what this has become. Happy to be a part of it. Here is us on the Rallarvegen in 2021, where we couldn’t have asked for better weather in mid-August.

Can you charge your e-bike from a normal household outlet?
If so wild camping should be out but, other than that, you could go from hotel to hotel or electrified campground to electrified campground.
Norway was made for Party Pace rides. The challenging climbs are a bonus.

@mpage yes, luckily! Unfortunately it’s not the removable battery and I must plug into the bike itself (I do have an extra external battery too). I was finding some places are beginning to have rules specific to e-bikes so I just really need to research. We looked into the Telemark Canal route and I’m just worried about being able to get up over the Kvitesiedvegen climb before being able to charge in Strond. The bygdetun you pass just before the climb has a VERY short season and we already snooped around outside once when we drove by to see if there’s a place that could be used to charge from outside. No luck. I would have to go all the way into Kvitesied sentrum. So yea, just takes some research. “Unfortunately” we would prefer more remote gravel adventures but we will make do until I can get stronger. I’m just happy to be on a bike again!
