About to finish my 3 week Holiday. I found that the routes which are provided on this websites have made a great impact on my journey. I was very surprised how many roads were free of heavy traffic.
Thanks to the Effort of the CycleNorway-Team for this, also having Matthew looking over my route was certainly a good Idea.
Attached you find 10 of my fav. Pictures.
Accidentally i entered Rallarvegen on 18:00 on a Sunday evening. I think i was extremely lucky to have the whole ride on this section just for my self and seeing this beautiful route in setting sun, is extremly beautiful! I can only recommend to enter it quite late(as long as you are not tired from the day).
Save travels and enjoy your time in this wonderful Country🇳🇴

Beautiful photos!!!!
I may find myself on the Myrdal end of Rallarvegen too late in the day.
Was wild camping easy on your first night there?

@mpage
Thanks!
Yes, finding a place for my small(1Person) tent was easy/manageable in my opinion.In case of windy weather you might bring some more time to find a spot which is a little sheltered. Also be aware that camping in the area around Finse is forbidden(In a Radius of very few kilometers).☺️

@falk.lensing Thanks for the info. In my case I anticipate not getting too far from Myrdal before I have to find a pitch. The caution about windy conditions is helpful because my tent is a tall, tipi style tent. But tipis are supposed to be resilient in the wind as long as you position the door on the lee side. I suppose that I’ll find out.
